| 目的 对英国纸质图书装帧水平在某一特定历史时期的演变进行分析。方法 以对比工业革命发生之前包括中世纪时期的欧洲图书装帧样式，通过工业革命带来的社会、技术以及文化等变化，对英国出版物的影响进行分别研究。结论 由于社会环境以及工业革命带来的技术进步，英国图书设计从中世纪繁琐装帧之中解脱了出来，整体风格更加趋向多样化和简洁化，在书籍装帧方面分工更加明确，字体、设计、封面、排版、插图以及后期摄影等都更加专业化，是英国出版乃至欧洲出版业取得显著进步的一个时期。 |

| It analyzes the evolution of the binding level of British paper books in a particular historical period. By comparing the European book binding styles before the industrial revolution, including the social, technological and cultural changes brought about by the industrial revolution, the influence of the British publications is studied separately. The social environment and the industrial revolution brought technological progress and the design of British book released from medieval cumbersome binding and the overall style is more diversified and concise and the division of labor in the book is more clear: font, design, cover, layout, illustration and photography later are more specialized. This is a period of great progress in the publishing industry and even in Europe. |
