With the development of intelligent technology in the field of human-computer interaction, the intelligent collaboration in the field of design subject creation has become more diverse. Sand painting needs to rely on the power of intelligent technology to break through the difficulties in creative techniques. Based on the development of artificial intelligence and application technology in design, the technical foundation combined with sand painting was analyzed, the process of sand painting creation was sorted out, and the application requirements of artificial intelligence in sand painting and the relationship between the creative subject and artificial intelligence were determined. A robotic arm was used to assist sand painters in creation and the feasibility was demonstrated through the human-machine collaboration project "Sand Painting Praises the Motherland". A system of human-computer cognitive symbiosis, intelligent technology support, creative subject collaboration, and intelligent interactive creation will formed, which can not only effectively solve the problems of assisted creation in the sand painting industry, but also increase the diversity of design discipline interaction, providing a new direction for future integration.
