The work aims to explore some mainstream ideas and trends of office furniture design in the context of the information era, so as to provide useful insights and references for future office furniture design and meet the diverse needs of modern office staff for office furniture, thereby enhancing the applicability of office furniture design. With the third wave, marked by the information technological revolution, sweeping across the world, people's life and work style have undergone great changes. By combining qualitative and quantitative research methods, based on the transformation of office needs in the new era, the design ideas suitable for current office furniture were analyzed, the future trends of office furniture design were explored and practical design experiments were conducted. In the context of the new era, the design of office furniture should follow the ideas of green design, intelligent design, experiential design, modular design, and participatory design.
