This paper aims to study the visual language, creative techniques and emotional characteristics of Memphis style in modern graphic design. Inspired on the revival of Memphis style in the fields of architectural design, product design and fashion design in recent years, based on the artistic styles of decoration art, pop art, and post-modernism that emerged and developed in the 20th century, from the perspective of semiotics, aesthetics and psychology, combined with the current typical Memphis-style graphic design works, this paper conducts in-depth research on the visual language of Memphis style from the aspects of graphics, color, composition, etc., analyzes the symbolic meaning of these stylistic visual elements in design works, and summarizes the specific creation methods of Memphis style in modern graphic design. The Memphis style in modern graphic design perfectly integrates art and life, criticism and innovation, and fits well with people's psychology of pursuing individual independence, and its revival in modern graphic design is the general trend.
