The paper aims to summarize the organization relationship of the image and text and the management strategy of the printing surface through the analysis and induction of the characteristics of the integration of the image and text of the graphic seal in the Yuan Dynasty. On the basis of the completion of the excavation and protection of the traditional cultural value of the graphic seal in Yuan Dynasty, it tries to bring beneficial thinking for the transformation and inheritance of traditional visual classics in contemporary design. Starting from the historical and cultural background of the integration of image and text of the graphic seal of Yuan Dynasty, this paper analyzes the causes and characteristics of its emergence, and on this basis, sorts out and discusses the strategy of the integration of image and text of the graphic seal of the Yuan Dynasty, and its enlightenment for contemporary design. Different from the Pre-Qin and Han Dynasty graphic seal, the integration of image and text is a significant feature of Yuan Dynasty. The integration of image and text has a diversified core construction logic of conformability, multi-level meaning and multi-element collision. The graphicization of text, the popularity of elegant culture and the concise seeking common ground while reserving differences of symbols are the specific responses to the needs of the integration of images and texts, the needs of citizens' culture and the needs of formal laws, which become the effective entry point of modern design for the inheritance and transformation of the pictorials of the zodiac of the Yuan Dynasty.
