Abstract

This paper aims to study the perceptual cognition of female electric toothbrush users and the mapping model of the factors of texture design of female electric toothbrush based on the theory of Kansei Engineering. This paper analyzes the excellent CMF design cases of the current female electric toothbrush, and proposes a new method to describe the texture design of female electric toothbrush. Secondly, the image scale method is used to quantify the perceptual image of female electric toothbrush, and the key image affecting consumers is obtained by factor analysis and dimension reduction. Through multiple linear regression, the relationship between the factors of texture design and user perception of female electric toothbrush are found.Through quantitative research on perceptual knowledge of users, the perceptual image space of female electric toothbrush is constructed. The texture space of female electric toothbrush is constructed by three dimensions of body color, surface texture and surface glossiness and several design elements within its dimension. The mapping relationship between perceptual image space and texture space of female electric toothbrush is found by regression analysis, which provides an objective reference for new product research and development.
