It coincides with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The paper aims to study the design ideas and methods of poetry imagery applied to red tourism cultural creation based on the perspective of cultural and tourism integration. Combining literature review and sorting, the characteristics of poetry imagery and current situation and trend of the red tourism market are learned, and the demand for red tourism cultural and creative products is analyzed. Zong Baihua's theory of "various levels of artistic conception creation" is applied to the visual expression of poetry imagery, the visual translation of intention-image-impression is realized, and the exploration of the method of applying poetry imagery to the design of red tourism cultural and creative products is completed. Finally, taking Mao Zedong's poems as an example, the most representative poetry works are selected for design practice through questionnaire surveys, and the design method is empirically verified. Applying the theory of diversified levels of artistic conception creation to the research of red tourism cultural creation can expand the expression and spiritual connotation of red tourism cultural creation products. And through the silent products of moisturizing things, the red culture and red genes that are full of revolutionary spirit and profound cultural heritage are passed on to carry forward the revolutionary spirit of the Chinese nation.
