This paper aims to explore the artistic characteristics, cultural connotations and application forms of traditional Chinese leaking window elements in modern product design.This paper discusses the application of traditional window leakage elements in modern product design from four aspects:decorative patterns, personalized functions, diversified modelling and cultural atmosphere. The application significance of traditional leaking window elements in modern product design is obtained. The use of decorative patterns makes the product boast a profound cultural background, achieving the effect of decorating products with patterns; the application of personalized functions makes the products enjoy a unique way of use, creating the effect of products with functions; the application of diversified modelling makes the products have colorful appearance, shaping the products with different modeling; the application of leaking window cultural atmosphere makes the product own special emotional expression, setting off the product with artistic atmosphere. The leaking window elements in Chinese traditional gardens have rich connotations and high cultural value. Integrating these traditional elements with modern product design is a new idea for the development of product design, which can not only promote the innovation of products, but also popularize the excellent traditional culture of China.
