"Chu Ci-Jiu Ge" represents the essence of Chu culture. Converting it from textual imagery to images, exploring its pictorial approach and applying it to modern design can provide a theoretical basis and practical reference for the innovation of Chinese traditional culture, help increase the diversity of the study of images of Chu, and enrich the study of Chu culture. Using the literature research method, we review the literature related to the " Chu Ci-Jiu Ge" to deeply understand the connotation of the text and capture the textual imagery. Using the inductive method, we classify the imagery in the " Chu Ci-Jiu Ge" into spiritual imagery and material imagery, and analyze the transformation methods of each type of imagery. The spiritual imagery mainly includes the beautiful visions represented by the gods; the material imagery includes character imagery, animal imagery, plant imagery, artifact imagery and scenery imagery. The textual imagery of " Chu Ci-Jiu Ge" was pictorialized and applied to the design of the "New Year's Gift". The conclusion is that when visualizing the spiritual imagery, we should first determine the plot of the picture, and then use the mood board to analyze and transform each chapter in detail, while when visualizing the material imagery, we should use the method of combining both form and spirit, using the ancient for the present, and combining the real and the imaginary.
