Under the background of cultural and tourism integration and the main purpose of transforming national cultural and art resources into cultural and tourism resources, this paper aims to conduct research and digital restoration of the image cultural relics in southwest Sichuan, and explore the activation paths and methods. From Mianning, Shimian, Jiulong, Muli, and Liangshan areas in Sichuan, we collected more than four hundred pieces of paper. The religious background and cultural connotation of these images were studied, and then they were restored and reproduced in a digital way, and the design practice was carried out in local scenic spots according to the digitized cultural symbols. Through research, it is found that the large number of paper scriptures in southwest Sichuan are national cultural symbols with profound cultural connotation and important artistic value. It is an exploration and attempt to combine national culture and tourism through digital methods, giving them modern aesthetic and design meaning, and finally creating cultural communication products using tourism as the platform.
