This paper aims to explore the application method of redesign of drinking utensils of nomadic people in northern grassland. Through the focus group discussion, the semantic perception evaluation scale of drinking utensils of nomadic people in the northern grassland was established and a questionnaire survey was conducted. The shape analysis method is used to deconstruct the modeling elements of drinking utensils of nomadic people in the northern grasslands, and the response matrix is established. Based on the quantitative class I theoretical data analysis method, the corresponding association model between semantic perception evaluation and various modeling elements is constructed. There were 16 kinds of drinking utensils of nomadic people in the northern grassland that had a significant impact on the semantic perception evaluation of contemporary users. Each kind of modeling element could have a positive or negative impact on different semantic perception evaluation. The application of the corresponding correlation model between the semantic perception evaluation of contemporary users and the modeling elements of drinking utensils of nomadic people in the northern grasslands can quickly help designers to find the modeling elements having a positive impact on different user needs and avoid the modeling elements having a negative impact. It provides an efficient guiding path for the redesign of drinking utensils of nomadic people in the northern grasslands.
