Abstract

The work aims to complete the design of vibrotactile feedback in prosthetic interaction and select the proper vibrotactile feedback signal to provide scientific basis for the design of prosthesis feedback. Vibration was selected as the feedback signal. Through human-computer interaction experiment, the difference threshold of human body under different vibration intensities was measured, and the process of amputee using prosthesis to complete task under vibrotactile feedback was simulated. The corresponding user data were obtained and analyzed, and based on the experimental results, the design method of vibrotactile feedback in prosthetic interaction was put forward. Vibration is a new signal to the human body and amputee can gradually master vibrotactile feedback through training to improve the sense of identity with prosthetic product and regard prosthetic product as a part of body. With the design process of vibrotactile feedback as an example, the proposed design method of vibrotactile feedback provides quantitative information such as user sensitivity, adaptation period of human body to interaction mode and user's psychological data for signal selection at the feedback end of prosthetic product and improves amputee's experience of using prosthetic product.
