Evaluation of Elderly-oriented Household Appliance Design Based on TAME-EDKT Model

Abstract

The work aims to propose a comprehensive evaluation model based on the technology acceptance model of the elderly in order to solve the problems such as the unsuitability determined by index set, the interference between indexes and the one-sidedness of ignoring users' needs in the determination of weight values in the design and evaluation of elderly-oriented household appliances. Firstly, the evaluation indexes of the design scheme were determined based on the technology acceptance model of the elderly. Secondly, the initial weight of evaluation indexes was determined based on entropy weight method, the interaction weight between indexes was determined by DEMATEL method and KANO model was further used to adjust the weight of indexes. The final weight was obtained by the above three weighting methods, and the schemes were optimized and ranked based on TOPSIS method. Finally, this method was used to select the optimal design scheme of elderly-oriented vacuum cleaner, and was compared for verification. This method can effectively determine the suitability of index set for the design of elderly-oriented household appliances, better consider the interaction between the indexes and the influence of users' needs on the index weight, and further improve the theoretical research in the field of elderly-oriented household appliance design.
