Abstract

The work aims to put forward a creative product design method of traditional patterns that integrates extension semantics and fuzzy evaluation to solve the problem that it is difficult for designers to objectively and effectively represent and transform the original culture in the process of innovative design of cultural products by traditional clothing patterns in the Tang Dynasty, causing the deviation of product design from the semantic connotation and characteristics of the times originally contained in the patterns. With Lingyang patterns as an example, in the early planning stage, the source culture of Lingyang patterns was sorted out, and the corresponding semantics were analyzed based on extension principle. The optimized characteristic words were evaluated comprehensively by graphic semantics, and the graphic semantic set was constructed by combining extension transformation and reconstruction theory. In the later evaluation stage, the visual morphological image characteristics were applied to the design of cultural and creative products, and the satisfaction evaluation of design schemes was carried out by integrating user needs. The method of integrating extension semantics and fuzzy evaluation has certain feasibility and rationality and can provide method support for innovative transformation and application of traditional patterns.
