The work aims to carry out innovative deduction and design based on traditional Poyang lacquerware patterns, in order to further protect and inherit Poyang lacquerware and enhance the cultural and economic value of intangible cultural heritage, thus retaining the characteristics of traditional patterns and meeting the needs of modern aesthetics. Firstly, a sample map of Poyang lacquerware patterns was constructed through field research and expert interviews. Then, eye movement experiment method was adopted to quantitatively analyze the subjects' perceptual cognition of Poyang lacquerware patterns and identify the patterns with high recognition. Secondly, the theory of shape grammar was applied to interpret and innovate the traditional patterns. Finally, sample patterns were obtained for extraction and innovative deduction design. Combined with product design practices, the effectiveness and feasibility of the innovative design scheme were verified. Poyang lacquerware contains rich traditional cultural connotations. As an important part of traditional lacquer decoration, its patterns have extremely high artistic and research value. Derivatives with innovative patterns as the main element can not only meet the needs of contemporary consumption, but also increase the cultural connotation. In this way, it reflects the characteristics of Poyang lacquerware and provides a reference for the innovation of intangible cultural heritage.
