Abstract

The new round of technology revolution and industrial change has accelerated the pace of development of artificial intelligence, cutting-edge biology, information networks and modern manufacturing, which has also given rise to the emergence of new interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary medical equipment products. In order to solve the long-term dependence of China on mid-to-high-end equipment import, the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Medical Equipment Industry" takes the development of high-end medical equipment as an important development strategy of "Healthy China". Therefore, the work aims to discuss the positive role of industrial design in the development of medical equipment from the perspective of human-computer interaction and integral design. The cross-disciplinary development of medical industry in China was introduced and the role of industrial design in the research and development of medical equipment products was elaborated. With the team-designed products as an example, the design innovation in typical medical equipment product research and development was introduced, and finally the opportunities and challenges faced by medical equipment design innovation, as well as the future development trend of the medical equipment industry were pointed out.Under the guidance of the "Healthy China" strategy adopted by China's 14th Five-Year Plan, industrial design would be integrated into the entire cycle of manufacturing strategic planning, product development, manufacturing, and commercial operation. In the process of transforming medical services into health services, industrial design would inevitably empower the intersection of medical and industrial sectors, forming a new model of deep integration and development with the medical equipment system.Analysis shows that in the face of the increasing medical and health needs of the people in the new stage of development, new tasks and requirements have been put forward for the development of medical equipment, such as focusing on clinical needs and health protection, strengthening collaboration between medical and industrial sectors, leveraging the advantages of design disciplines, and promoting innovative development in medical equipment product research and development, production and manufacturing, as well as system services.
