Abstract

The work aims to design a shared recreational vehicle (RV) suitable for travel to solve the users' problems of poor convenience and low usage of RVs, so as to enhance the satisfaction of needs under sharing. A hierarchical analysis (AHP) was used to summarize user needs and establish the ranking of need weights. The QFD theory was used to map need factors to design elements such as living space, appearance, functionality and performance, and the autocorrelation matrix was used to identify sources of design conflict. Based on the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ), the design contradictions between the production of multifunctional furniture and the rational distribution of functional areas, the installation and maintenance of household configurations and utilities, as well as the safety of traffic and water supply systems, were resolved. The design practice is carried out in accordance with the findings of the study. The design solution passes the usability test and meet the design expectations. The research process provides reference ideas for related innovative designs.
