Abstract
The work aims to revive culture and traditional skills of Chengdu's intangible cultural heritage Shu brocade, solve the current problems in the inheritance and development of Shu brocade culture, deeply explore a new inheritance path, and design intangible cultural heritage Shu brocade furniture products with the characteristics of the times, art and culture. Based on the perspective of design, the research took the intangible cultural heritage "Shu brocade" in Chengdu as the research object. Aiming at the current development status and problems of intangible cultural heritage Shu Brocade in Chengdu, it analyzed the artistic characteristics of Shu Brocade, extracted such factors as patterns, colors, and meanings of Shu Brocade, proposed transformation methods such as plane pattern combination, decorative form adjustment, emotional link, etc. and applied the transformed cultural factors of Shu Brocade to design furniture such as sofas, screens and seats to create furniture products with ancient Shu flavor to highlight the artistic charm of Chengdu furniture. Through the refinement of the current intangible cultural heritage of Shu brocade in Chengdu and its application in modern furniture design, it reflects the integration of Shu brocade art and modern design, which can change the "static" protection mode of intangible cultural heritage, realize its activation and utilization, and make Shu brocade truly integrate into people's lives. Therefore, the development of intangible cultural heritage Shu brocade furniture products with profound cultural genes not only improves the artistic and cultural value of modern furniture, but also opens up a new path for the inheritance of Shu brocade, which has important practical significance for the protection, inheritance and utilization of traditional handicraft intangible cultural heritage in Chengdu.
