Abstract

There is a contradiction between the self-awareness of contemporary Chinese women and the failure of design services to fully consider the needs of women. The work aims to try to stand in the perspective of women and use a more inclusive attitude to design medical examination products to improve women's health and well-being. Through gender data analysis, the rules of social life were re-examined with thinking beyond empathy according to the women-centered design method. The urinalysis container in the medical examination service system was taken as an example to conduct design practice. In the end, a usability test was conducted on the prototype scheme, the whole process of users using the product was observed, and the differences between the existing product and the prototype scheme in three dimensions of "effectiveness", "usability" and "satisfaction" were compared. The usability test results showed that the solution based on gender data analysis could significantly improve the efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction of women when using urinalysis containers. The method of gender data analysis can effectively improve women's experience of using products and balance the contradiction between women's self-consciousness and design services.
