Innovative Design of Modern Women's Seats Based on the Study of Tanchun's Character and Her Seat Images

Abstract

The work aims to excavate the common points between the character image of Tanchun in the "Dream of Red Mansions" and the modern women and take the image of Tanchun's seat as the research point to carry out the innovative design of modern women's seats combined with the user analysis. Firstly, the image and cultural symbols of Tanchun' character were analyzed. Secondly, the images of Tanchun's seat were widely collected and representative samples were sorted out. The shape of the seat, the meaning of the image, and the design concept in the images were analyzed and summarized. Then, the user's aesthetic preferences, consumption needs and intentions were analyzed by creating a user role model. Finally, the key points were connected to design a seat reflecting traditional aesthetics and the image of the Tanchun's character, which was in line with the use preferences of modern independent women. The combination of rigidity and softness in Tanchun's character is used to project the modern women. The research and innovation of related seat images are suitable for the personality and emotional value needs of modern female user groups, providing new cultural inspiration for contemporary designers and opening up new thinking space for design innovation of modern women's furniture.
