The work aims to explore the current research status and future development trend of smart home design under the guidance of inclusiveness. With smart home as the research object, the inclusive design ethics connotation of smart home was summarized and expounded. According to the dimensions and scenarios of inclusion-oriented smart home design, the current research hotspots of inclusion-oriented smart home design were explored, and the future development trend was forecasted. The current inclusion-oriented smart home design should comprehensively consider four dimensions of inclusive and practical functions, simple and universal operation, flexible and consistent experience, and diverse acceptance of solutions, presenting application scenarios dominated by home items with specific functions, collaborative and interconnected home combinations, and multi-dimensional and universal home systems. The research focused on adaptive design emphasizing physiological function, caring design emphasizing emotional preference, ease-of-use design emphasizing cognitive memory and auxiliary design emphasizing behavioral activity. The future research trends are summarized as follows:(1) Intelligent devices need unity, integration and tranquility; (2) Comprehensive intelligence of social life; and (3) The "disappearance" of intelligence and the return of the essence of the living world. Through the analysis of the inclusion-oriented smart home design, it is expected to provide some reference for the innovative development of smart home under the development trend of digital intelligence.
