Abstract
The work aims to sort out and classify the functional requirements of the smart bed for home-based care of the fully self-care or mildly disabled elderly by KANO model and identify the key requirements and carry out the design practices to provide support for the research of cooperative enterprises and relevant scholars. The requirements of the elderly for smart beds of home-based elderly care were obtained through interview and household research methods. The requirements were also screened and classified by KANO model method, and the research results were verified through design practice method. The KANO attributes of the relevant functions were derived, on which specific design strategies for essential attributes, expected attributes, and excitation seeking functions were proposed, and reasonable scheme design was carried out. In the product design process of smart beds for home-based elderly care, it is necessary to ensure the provision and improvement of essential attribute functions (heating function) and expected attribute functions (one click to call for help, one click for anti snoring, vibration massage, intelligent lifting) to meet the basic needs of the elderly and reduce their dissatisfaction. At the same time, attention should also be paid to providing exciting attribute functions (one click for sleep, health monitoring) to meet the high-level needs of the elderly. The final product design proposal is proposed and is highly recognized by the cooperative enterprises, verifying the feasibility of the research.
