In recent years, with the continuous development of the society and the improvement of the quality of life, the public's need for and attention to the physical and mental health of children is also increasing. In view of the current parenting pressure, more and more parents begin to need a product that can take care of the healthy growth of children. On the basis of fully combing and studying the needs of users, the work aims to provide reference ideas for the innovative design of such products. Market research was conducted by online and offline questionnaires, feedback on user needs was collected and discussed among experts and designers in the industry, 12 initial user needs were selected, survey questionnaires were formulated and distributed by KANO model and parents' evaluation and needs for various functions of the product were sorted out to get the priority of use needs and summarize the need index of different satisfaction. According to the 9 product functions of necessary needs, expected needs and attractive needs obtained in KANO model, the intelligent observation and protection products for children was innovatively designed, and the effectiveness of the design and development method was verified through the product evaluation. The need importance degree established through the analysis of KANO model can provide an effective reference for the prioritization of relevant design elements, better meet the needs of parents in using the intelligent observation and protection products for children, realize the wish of easy parenting, and further improve the level of children's healthy growth.
