Abstract

In order to achieve the goal of cultivating high-quality innovative design talents, CMF design, as the core course of product design, plays a key role in cultivating students' design thinking, understanding the matching and application of color, materials and processing technology in product design, and product planning and acceptance. Based on the Outcome-Oriented Teaching Model (OBE) theory and combined with the characteristics of equal emphasis on theory and practice of CMF design, the curriculum reform was carried out from the teaching content, teaching methods, evaluation indicators and feedback mechanism, especially in the teaching process of intelligent product design. The CMF design under the guidance of OBE theory combined with the application of a variety of teaching aids and gamified learning experience could improve the subjective initiative of students in CMF design education. The application of OBE teaching theory in CMF design can establish students' dominant role in the classroom, stimulate their interest in CMF design of intelligent and digital products, and improve teaching efficiency and quality in the classroom.
