Abstract

The work aims to propose a theoretical concept framework of a China design perspective in the context of transformation in knowledge generation paradigm brought in the age of artificial intelligence. Starting from the perspective of knowledge generation paradigm shift and the evolution of design in China, the necessity of establishing this framework in the new era was analyzed. The concept and characteristics of the China design perspective were defined, and it was thoroughly analyzed across three levels:ontology (the theoretical foundation of the system), practice (the expression and modern translation of design symbols in traditional Chinese cultural context), and strategy (the value dissemination of the concept). The China design perspective is a discourse system rich in Chinese style and spirit. It not only meets the needs of the current knowledge production paradigm shift, but also promotes the important link for construction of a powerful cultural country. It is crucial for telling the story of China, strengthening global product competitiveness, and promoting Chinese design.
