Abstract

The work aims to analyze the current state of research on affective computing applications in intelligent cockpits and explore design methods and processes for affective cockpit interaction. By examining the impact of emotions on driving experience, the application of affective computing in cockpit scenarios was summarized. The principles and methods of affective interaction design were described from three aspects:emotion recognition technology, emotion regulation strategies, and multimodal interaction processes. An affective computing-based intelligent cockpit interaction system was proposed, with practical designs aimed at adjusting novice drivers' negative emotions from two specific driving scenarios. Implementing appropriate emotion recognition technology can enhance cockpit safety and comfort. The interaction system based on affective computing summarized in this work offers new insights for design practice.
