Abstract

Through the in-depth analysis of the current development status and creation bottlenecks of picture books for hearing-impaired children and combined with the design principles of picture books for hearing-impaired children, the work aims to propose new strategies for the development of picture books for hearing-impaired children in the new era, in order to better serve the rehabilitation of hearing-impaired children in fields of language, context, physical and mental cognition, communication ability, and other aspects. The current development status of picture books for hearing-impaired children in China and abroad was sorted out, the design characteristics and expression elements of picture books were summarized through analysis of content, shape, color, etc., and the methods such as empirical research, case study, etc. were used to propose the design and development strategies of picture books for hearing-impaired children based on the design principles and key points of such picture books. The design and development strategies of picture books for hearing-impaired children were put forward, which could improve the design quality of such picture books, inject new vitality into the market of China's original picture books for hearing-impaired children, and help promote the sustainable development of picture books for hearing-impaired children. The research gives full play to the visual advantages of hearing-impaired children, respect their orientation, focus on picture book art design, encourage exploration and innovation, and emphasize the integration of digital interaction in picture books for hearing-impaired children, so as to diversify the forms and expressions of picture books. At the same time, the research results can also improve the talent training system aiming at the picture books for hearing-impaired children in universities, focusing on the effectiveness of evaluation and application of picture books for hearing-impaired children, and achieving deep integration of industry and education.
