Abstract

The work aims to enhance drivers' cognition and response efficiency to alarm information during operation to reduce accident rates and improve safety. The presentation methods and design elements of roller alarm information were analyzed. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to determine the weight of each design element and identify key design elements that impacted cognition efficiency. Eye-tracking experiments were then conducted to simulate these key design factors, identifying the design factors of alarm information of roller cab with high cognition efficiency. On the basis of design factors, alarm information design schemes for the roller cab are developed. The optimal design scheme is validated through further eye-tracking physiological simulation experiments, thereby improving the cognition efficiency to alarm information.
