Abstract

The work aims to provide musical biofeedback method and correction system to regulate physiological gait rehabilitation and psychological state of patients with Parkinson's disease. According to the musical biofeedback principle, the auditory signals that could transform musical stimulation signals into gait adjustment were created to adjust the gait with auditory channels. At the same time, the preferred musical materials were selected to provide external assistance and internal drive for gait rehabilitation of patients with Parkinson's disease. From the general situation of Parkinson's disease and related research, a dual-channel treatment strategy covering physiology and psychology was provided, and the design and development of hardware prototype and software application were completed under this guidance. Finally, an evaluation and analysis model including rationality, satisfaction and market situation was provided for the correction system through the structured Lickert scale. A gait rehabilitation correction system based on musical biofeedback for patients with Parkinson's disease was created, stimulating the active behavioral ability of patients with Parkinson's disease in adjusting stride and gait through novel interactive forms and auditory sensory stimulation. Quantitative assessment reveals that for patients with Parkinson's disease, the system mitigates symptoms such as myotonicity and postural balance disorders, reduces negative emotions during different disease stages, and improves rehabilitation awareness and motivation, offering an effective approach to rehabilitation of patients with Parkinson's disease.
