The work aims to improve the satisfaction of urban furniture design, and effectively promote the democratization and scientific decision-making of square urban furniture planning and design. With the representative urban squares in Wuxi, such as Taihu Square, Donglin Square and Erquan Yingyue Square as the research objects, through field observation and questionnaire survey, user needs were deeply explored, and the satisfaction evaluation system of urban furniture design was constructed. The KANO-IPA model was used to evaluate the satisfaction of urban furniture design in Wuxi Square. The need attributes and priority ranking of each evaluation element of urban furniture design satisfaction were quantified and analyzed. Based on the results of field investigation and evaluation, the optimization strategy of urban furniture design in Wuxi Square was proposed from four aspects of perfecting the humanized urban furniture service elements, improving the all-factor urban furniture construction system, constructing the systematic urban furniture design system, and focusing on the smart urban furniture construction and management.
