Abstract

The work aims to carry out innovative design on waste ceramics based on the concept of green design, to promote the green and sustainable development as well as the high-quality development of the ceramic industry. The literature research method was used to analyze the current academic research trends and hotspots. Through a case study approach, existing disposal methods for waste ceramics were reviewed and summarized to identify the pain points in both industrial and artistic disposal methods. Furthermore, an optimized design path suitable for innovative products was proposed, and the green value satisfaction of the waste ceramic innovative design scheme was evaluated by the Likert scale and the mean method. Through the design practice based on green design methods and principles, this study provides an effective path of green ceramic innovation and redesign for researchers and designers. A waste ceramic reuse design scheme targeting the disposal stage within the life cycle of ceramic products is proposed, demonstrating satisfactory value realization through evaluation. This scheme contributes to enhancing the green ecological value of ceramic products and facilitating the low-carbon transformation and high-quality development of the ceramic industry.
