Abstract

The work aims to conduct digital research and design on the cultural heritage of traditional villages in Inner Mongolia by information visualization, collect the basic attributes of traditional villages in Inner Mongolia, establish an information database of traditional villages in Inner Mongolia, and generate information visualization design graphics of traditional villages in Inner Mongolia. Under the guidance of the concept of the protection of historical and cultural heritage, through the design method of information visualization, and with traditional villages in Inner Mongolia area as examples, all kinds of information on villages were surveyed, and the method of traditional village information visualization model design and digital framework construction was proposed. On this basis, combined with related algorithms, the visualization design graphics of village information were explored in practice. The information at different levels of villages was classified through the digital framework, so as to sort out the information context of single dimension and cross dimensions such as time and space, level, relationship and quantity of villages. Information design maps such as Sankey map, heat map and time series map were used to clearly and intuitively browse the information at different levels of different categories of traditional villages in Inner Mongolia, providing a new design method for visualizing the cultural heritage information of traditional villages. In conclusion, traditional village information visualization not only enables the public to intuitively and multi-dimensionally understand the history and culture of villages, but also enables researchers to sort out the historical and cultural context of villages and analyze the basic information of villages, which is a new model for inheriting and propagating village information visualization.
