Operation Model of Crowd Intelligence Design Platform

Abstract

The work aims to study the classification of CID models of open innovation platforms and analyze the operation characteristics of different CID models, to guide the design of other crowd intelligence innovation platforms, as well as to provide reference for users and enterprises to choose suitable platforms to carry out innovation activities and realize knowledge sharing and knowledge realization. The typical CID platforms in China were investigated and the classification indexes for CID models were established based on existing studies and research content. The selected platforms were comprehensively analyzed and evaluated by the content analysis method, with values assigned across four dimensions of design serviceability, commercial viability, sociability, and organizational structure. Through hierarchical clustering of the research data, these platforms were classified, allowing for an analysis of the differences in operation characteristics among various model platforms. The CID platforms were classified into four distinct model types:the Skill-based Knowledge Realization Model, the Professional Knowledge Innovation Model, the Project-based Knowledge Transaction Model, and the Interest-based Knowledge Sharing Model. The various models of CID platforms exhibit distinct differences in design serviceability, commercial viability, sociability, and organizational structure. The Skill-based Knowledge Realization Model facilitates knowledge exchange through the commercialization of users' professional skills; the Professional Knowledge Innovation Model emphasizes resource integration and collaboration among high-quality design services to foster innovation; the Project-based Knowledge Transaction Model prioritizes transaction-driven approaches for efficient resource allocation; and the Interest-based Knowledge Sharing Model focuses on social interaction and collaborative knowledge creation among users.
