Abstract

The work aims to sort out the current situation in the field of interaction design for intelligent networked vehicles on an international scale, identify the current research hotspots and theoretical foundations, and further explore the new directions for the future development of interaction in intelligent networked vehicles. With the pertinent literature from the core collection in the Web of Science as data source, the bibliometric technique combined with VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and other software was employed to view and evaluate the literature in this area from 2004 to 2023, and investigate the most prominent and developing trends in the interaction design of intelligent networked vehicles. The number of articles published in the field of interaction design for intelligent networked vehicles was on the rise, gradually forming a typical research mode of cross exploration in multidisciplinary fields and cooperation and win-win cooperation among multinational organizations, and the research hotspots were concentrated on three levels:interaction design for driver assistance system, interaction design for human-vehicle relationship, and interaction design for E-HMI. The future research direction would focus on the development of intelligent networked system and gradually extend to different role members in the smart city, to promote the development of logistics and distribution, shared mobility, unmanned retailing and other subfields while providing a solid foundation for the construction of intelligent transportation system. The bibliometrics-based method can effectively reveal the research status, hotspots, problems and trends of the interaction design of intelligent networked vehicles, which can provide theoretical and empirical evidence basis for the subsequent research.
