Abstract

The work aims to study the feasibility of applying matching to assist designers in biomimetic matching in the biomimetic design process, and provide scientific methods and find more ideas for biomimetic matching of product forms. By retrieving biological pictures and contouring them, a biological contour data set library was constructed. A relevant contour matching program was constructed and applied and the target product for biomimetic matching was input to obtain the product-biological contour sequence and carry out expert evaluation and analysis. Grey correlation analysis was applied to analyze the attributes of the bio-sequence, and the feasibility and effectiveness of the program matching in the morpho-bionic design process was clarified. The matching program was applied to complete the biomimetic design practice of aircraft. It is verified that the method can effectively realize the morphology matching between products and organisms, reduce the designers' workload and time in searching for reference organisms' morphology, and assist the designers in quickly determining the biomimicry organisms.
