Abstract

The aging population is becoming increasingly severe. In order to meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the elderly population, the paperanalyzes the context of public cultural services based on the concept of collaborative design, proposes aging friendly measures to improve public cultural service facilities, thereby enhancing the public culture of elderly usersService experience. With culture-served public cinemas as the research entry point, a situational analysis was conducted from three perspectives:viewing behavior, information guidance, and activity space. An audience model for the elderly group was established. Three different levels of cinemas in Nanjing were selected as field investigation cases. Collaborative observation and questionnaire survey research methods were combined to explore the aging friendly needs of cinemas. Four solutions were proposed, including meeting the principles of accessible routes, meeting the principles of ergonomics for the elderly, utilizing artificial intelligence technology, and introducing government rating mechanisms. The research on public cinemas enriches the relevant research on aging friendly design, providing reference for the aging friendly improvement and design of culture-served public facilities.
