The work aims to focus on the development of rural public furniture and explore the effective integration of the concept of "harmony and beauty" in rural public furniture design by taking into account the enrichment and expansion of the connotation and objectives of rural construction. The connotation of the concept of harmony and beauty and the relationship between the harmonious and beautiful countryside, people, nature and society were analyzed. According to the research status of public facilities in the countryside, the design methods of public furniture in the countryside under the idea of harmony and beauty were explored from the perspectives of emotional care, long-term design, humanistic elements and aesthetic value respectively. The concept of harmony and beauty is a general guideline for rural construction, and its application to rural public furniture design can help create a more harmonious, livable and sustainable rural community, enhance the residents' sense of well-being and satisfaction, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the countryside.
