Abstract

The work aims to design a multi-functional pet food packaging for portioning and carrying in response to the existing problems of traditional pet food packaging, such as large volume and easy to fall apart, and to enhance the functionality of pet food packaging in the existing market to meet the needs of consumers for portability and other uses. First, the traditional pet food packaging design concept and application were explored. The AHP hierarchical analysis method was used to analyze the weight of user needs. Then, the user needs were transformed into the technical characteristics of the productthrough the QFD quality house to obtain the contradictions and conflicts. And ultimately, the TRIZ innovation methods and theories were used to concretize the problem and seek solutions to design a new type of pet food packaging, and improve the user experience of the pet food packaging through the actual case. The experience of using pet food packaging was improved through practical cases. The redesign of pet food packaging improved the secondary utilization rate of product packaging, and promoted the economy and convenience of pet food packaging by improving the material and structure design. In conclusion, the TRIZ innovation principle can be used to improve packaging materials and design to meet consumer needs, solve bottlenecks in the process of packaging design, promote the generation of innovative thinking, and improve the effectiveness of packaging design. This study is not only conducive to promoting the development of the pet food packaging design field, but also has a more perfect theoretical guidance.
