Abstract

The work aims to explore the design ideas and methods of Beijing Central Axis sound visualization from the perspective of narrative design, to achieve the purpose of inheritance, development and dissemination of Beijing Central Axis sound cultural heritage, and provide useful reference for related design research. Based on the relevant theories and methods of narrative design and sound visualization, the feasibility of introducing sound visualization into narrative design was discussed. By analyzing the narrative elements and design process of sound visualization, a narrative design framework for Beijing Central Axis sound visualization was constructed. The connected parallel narrative structure of spatial sound juxtaposition, the narrative logic of audio-visual mapping, and the design strategy of synesthesia were applied to output a sound visualization design scheme and summarize the narrative design points of sound visualization. The sound visualization narrative design of cultural heritage themes needs to start from three levels:narrative theme and content setting, narrative structure design, and narrative discourse expression, to achieve the design goals of enhancing cultural resonance, creating cultural memory, strengthening cultural perception, and to reflect the sound visualization design characteristics of "audio-visual synesthesia, psychological transfer and cultural perception".
