Abstract

The work aims to explore the application of industrial site culture in the design of public facilities under the background of urban renewal, so as to inject new vitality and cultural connotation into the construction of urban public facilities. Aiming at the problems existing in urban public facilities at the present stage, the historical and cultural value, artistic and aesthetic value and socio-economic value of urban industrial sites were integrated as the design guide to carry out a research on the application of industrial site culture in public facilities from six aspects of humanistic design, industrial site reuse, function and modeling innovation, narrative expression of industrial elements, application of intelligence and selection of craftsmanship and materials. In the process of integrating industrial site culture into urban public facilities, attention should be paid to the principles of sustainability and practicability to design public facilities in harmony with the industrial background and urban environment from the perspective of ecology and wholeness. The application of industrial site culture in the design of public facilities not only meets the requirements of urban renewal and regeneration, but also enriches the residents' life and cultural experience, and promotes the public's inheritance and development of urban industrial history and culture.
