Abstract
The work aims to propose a design decision-making optimization model based on BWM-improved CRITIC-TOPSIS and select products that meet user needs, so as to cultivate good living habits in children, promote parent-child interaction, and foster the healthy growth of children. Through questionnaire surveys and expert interviews, combined with user needs, the appearance, function, economy, operation, and psychological needs of bedding were used as the criteria layer to construct a children's bedding evaluation model. The BWM method and the improved CRITIC method were used for the combination of weights for the indicators, and after the consistency check, the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) was used to optimize the selection of furniture schemes, to obtain the optimal solution. Practice showed that the top five indicators of children's bedding needs were safety in use, ease of use, growth adaptability, multifunctionality, and structural stability, etc., which were then divided into core, general, and additional functions of children's bedding, serving as a guide for product design. After verification, the children's bedding design optimization model established by BWM, improved CRITIC, and TOPSIS is more rational and scientific, taking the user's behavioral intention as the starting point, and providing a new research approach for enhancing the targeted design of children's furniture.
