Abstract

The work aims to synthesize the current research status, achievements, and shortcomings of intelligent medical rehabilitation products for children, explore the integration approaches and application forms of digital-intelligent technologies in pediatric medical rehabilitation products, and provide a theoretical support for the innovative design of intelligent medical rehabilitation products for children. Literature from domestic and international academic databases, including CNKI and Web of Science (WOS), in design of intelligent medical rehabilitation products for children was reviewed. CiteSpace software was utilized to conduct a visual analysis on the relevant literature, examining research progress through metrics such as publication volume, disciplinary fields, and author collaboration. Additionally, the interactive scenarios and functional features of products were systematically analyzed to investigate the application pathways of digital-intelligent technologies in existing pediatric rehabilitation product design. Current studies on intelligent medical rehabilitation products for children grew gradually with fluctuation from 2009. Relevant studies crossed design, child psychology, rehabilitation behaviorism, engineering mechanics, and artificial intelligence. International studies focused on technological innovation, while domestic research emphasized product design and user experience. However, challenges remained in scenario expansion, functional usability, and enhancing children's participatory engagement. Future efforts should expand the application scenarios of intelligent pediatric rehabilitation products. By strengthening human-computer interaction design, integrating personalized customization and gamified elements, children's engagement and interest can be enhanced to meet diverse needs in rehabilitation, cognitive improvement, language development, and social skill enhancement. This will drive the design and development of intelligent pediatric medical rehabilitation products while fostering innovative applications in modern life, offering more strategic design insights for the field.
