Abstract
Guangxi is an autonomous region inhabited by many ethnic groups, each with its unique culture and aesthetic values. The work aims to study innovative design strategies for ethnic minority IP images and derivatives in Guangxi based on generative artificial intelligence (AI) to expand the application of AI technology, achieve efficient transformation and generation of IP designs, and promote the deep integration of ethnic culture and modern technology, so as to better meet the evolving social development and consumer demands, thereby contributing positively to the quality enhancement and economic growth of cultural tourism industry in Guangxi. First, the concepts, logic, and models of generative artificial intelligence were clarified. Then, typical folk cultural symbols of ethnic minorities in Guangxi, such as traditional clothing and patterns, were analyzed from four dimensions of inheritance, dissemination, design, and innovation. Next, a machine learning algorithm based on diffusion models and artificial neural networks was used to generate IP images and creative derivatives featuring ethnic characteristics in Guangxi. Applying generative artificial intelligence to the design process revitalizes the expression forms of traditional ethnic culture and establishes innovative pathways for the integration of AI technology with Guangxi's ethnic minority IP images and derivatives. This contributes to the acquisition of discourse power in the digital art of regional ethnic culture.
