The work aims to explore the immersive experience design methodology and the practical application of the methodology under the perspective of interactive narrative, in order to create a deeply immersive space of large cruise ships and enhance the experience of the tourists from the three aspects of sense, emotion and interaction. Qualitative research methods were used to investigate the feasibility and key characteristics of interactive narratives in the immersive experiences of large cruise ships. The roles of cognitive touchpoint, emotional touchpoint, and volitional touchpoint in enhancing visitor immersion were analyzed. A three-tiered progressive design framework was developed, consisting of the "Reach Layer - Connection Layer - Experience Layer". This framework integrated a narrative environment that facilitated cross-media and multisensory interaction, narrative content highly relevant and multilayered, and participatory narrative experience ensuring comprehensive immersion. The effectiveness of this framework was validated through the design practice of the "AIDA Magic City" cruise ship. Interactive narratives significantly enhance tourists' participation and immersion, providing robust theoretical and practical support for the design of immersive experiences of large cruise ships.
