Personalized Design of Multi-granular Cat Climbing Frame Based on Kano Model

Abstract

The work aims to determine the priority of user's personalized demands for cat climbing frames using the Kano model combined with coarse-grained and fine-grained analysis, and design a cat climbing frame that meets user's personalized demands. User demands were surveyed, and the user's demand items were classified into coarse-grained and fine-grained categories. The personalized design demands of the cat climbing frame were clarified, and the coarse-grained types were classified using the Kano model and the Better-Worse coefficient. The priority of the coarse-grained demand items was then analyzed using the demand sensitivity index. The fine-grained demand items were surveyed using the Likert scale, limited multiple-choice questions, and ranking questions to dig out explicit fine-grained demands and user preferences, and finally a strategy and solution for the personalized design of the cat climbing frame were implemented. The coarse-grained demands for cat climbing frame design prioritized resting and activity functions, aesthetic coordination, storage functions, followed by space occupation, and fun interaction. While personalized design demands were mainly reflected in fine-grained demands. By combining the Kano model with the coarse-grained and fine-grained classification, the cat climbing frame demand analysis process is made more accurate and comprehensive. The analysis of coarse-grained and fine-grained demand classification provides basic and personalized reference value for the design of cat climbing frames, which helps focus on the personalized design elements required by the target users.
