Abstract

The humanized design of urban public facilities is not only a crucial means to enhance the overall image of a city but also has a profound impact on residents' quality of life. This article analyzes the value and significance of humanized design in urban public facilities, highlighting its role in promoting harmony between humans and nature, optimizing urban functionality, and enhancing aesthetics and cultural connotations. Based on five core principles—convenience, safety and reliability, innovation and uniqueness, reasonableness, and functionality—the article explores key ideas of humanized design. A series of design strategies are proposed, including integrating regional cultural characteristics, respecting ergonomic principles and barrier-free design, and emphasizing the integration of facilities with surrounding environments. The article concludes that humanized design of urban public facilities is a vital approach to improving urban quality. It requires designers to conduct in-depth research and innovative exploration across multiple dimensions to meet both material and spiritual needs of the public, thereby fostering sustainable and healthy urban development.
