Design Strategy of Rural Medical Care Combined with Elderly Care Services Based on the Rooted Theory

Abstract

The work aims to explore the design strategies for combining rural medical care with elderly care services by analyzing the current situation of "medical care" and "elderly care" in rural areas. With the elderly care services in Beiping Town, Linfen City, Shanxi Province as the research object, the three-stage coding procedure in the rooted theory was used to analyze the case, determine the positioning of rural medical care combined with elderly care services, draw a rural medical care and elderly care service blueprint based on Beiping Town as an example, extract the design strategies for rural medical care and elderly care services and conduct user evaluations. Based on the five main categories of rural medical care combined with elderly care services summarized by the rooted theory, the following design strategy of rural medical care and elderly care services is proposed based on the service system constructed by integrating service design and resources, which expands service objects to meet the needs of more users through inclusive design, and guides users to improve their health behaviors through persuasive design during the service process.
