Design of Home Intelligent Security Systems Based on Complexity Theory

Abstract

The work aims to explore the nonlinear interaction characteristics of home intelligent security systems in multiple user demands, dynamic life scenarios and technological evolution based on the complexity theory, to reveal the limitations of the traditional design paradigm and propose new design strategies. The Complex Adaptive Systems Theory (CAS) was used to analyze the service contact breakage phenomenon of typical products such as smart door locks, smart surveillance, and smoke alarms, and to construct a three-dimensional design model that contained subjective adaptive rules, environment-awareness layers and dynamic feedback loops. It was found that by reconstructing the non-hierarchical correlation network between devices, the self-organized synergy of child miscontact protection and elderly emergency response could be achieved. Meanwhile, the intelligent alarm system based on nonlinear interaction design had a stronger fault-tolerant evolutionary capability when dealing with disturbing variables such as pet activities and temporary visitors. In conclusion, the study breaks through the traditional functionalist design thinking, provides a theoretical turning path from "mechanical superposition" to "ecological adaptation" for the home security product system, and promotes the design philosophy innovation of the symbiotic relationship between human-machine-environment.
