Research Status and Trend Analysis of Digital Intelligent Empowerment in Intangible Cultural Heritage Design Applications

Abstract

The work aims to systematically analyze the research status and future trends of digital intelligent technologies in intangible cultural heritage (ICH) design with bibliometric methods and provide theoretical foundations and data-driven insights for related studies by examining core themes, research hotspots, and evolutionary trajectories. Based on the data from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Web of Science (WOS), Bibliometrix and CiteSpace were employed to analyze major journals, key authors, leading institutions, co-word networks, clustering, and burst detection in China and abroad to construct a visualized research framework. The findings reveal the significant interdisciplinary integration in ICH design which is driven by technological advancements and policy support. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and knowledge graphs are increasingly applied. Future efforts should emphasize the societal value of these technologies, enhance public participation in digital preservation and dissemination, and establish a human-centered ecosystem for ICH protection and transmission.
