In view of the fact that the current tourism cultural and creative products of ethnic minorities are simple and vulgar, the degree of development is uneven, and the cultural characteristics cannot be well reflected, the work aims to explore the characteristic cultural resources of Bai Ku Yao in Nandan, Guangxi, and design cultural and creative products according to its current situation, so as to promote the protection and dissemination of Bai Ku Yao culture. According to the theory of cultural gene, Bai Ku Yao costume culture resources were collected, dominant genes and invisible genes were extracted, and a Bai Ku Yao costume culture gene map was established. Then, the analytic hierarchy process was used to construct the structure of the cultural gene evaluation model of Bai Ku Yao clothing, and an expert evaluation team was established to evaluate the importance of cultural genes. The cultural factors with higher weight values were selected as design elements, and the cultural factors were applied to design cultural and creative products according to the three principles of visual guidance, behavior guidance and consciousness guidance. In conclusion, the study of cultural and creative products from the perspective of cultural genes provides a new perspective for the dissemination of Bai Ku Yao culture. The use of the cultural gene theory shows the colorful culture of Bai Ku Yao clothing. The analytic hierarchy process provides a scientific basis for cultural and creative design. The two together connect the relationship between culture and creation, and inject new vitality into the innovative design of cultural and creative products.
